The Syntiant Virtual World will not be just another novel past-time or
gaming destination, but a complete data-organization and computer-interaction
system allowing users to streamline their digital life. And best of all,
Syntiant’s Virtual World will be completely
free to its community
of users.
Syntiant will offer 3D gesture-based data manipulation (similar to the virtual data-management scenes in the movie Minority Report) to create an intuitive, fully-immersive, natural-movement navigation system. This new user interface will be an overlay of existing systems, rather than a new operating system, so it will have universal applicability. The system will be able to interact with Mac and PC systems and manage data saved on local drives, as well as all data accessed in any online environments. This will permit a person to organize his or her data using 3D mind maps, navigate social and business media sites in a 3D gesture-based environment, and add immersive virtual reality 3D to gaming and online shopping environments.
Syntiant’s Virtual World is a comprehensive system. Users have 3D interaction with all data and programs stored on all their digital devices, combined with all their Internet-based data. Using pre-created templates or their own unique organizational system, users can create virtual structures suited to their lives, careers, projects, tasks, and interests. The mind-mapping system within the Virtual World is based on the natural organizational processes of the human brain which creates an intuitive 3D user interface that will streamline projects, improve efficiency, and foster far more in-depth and personalized online interactions.
Additional applications for the consumer market will use Syntiant’s 3D interfaces and mind-mapping tools to create unique tools and software to be sold as add-ons to Syntiant’s virtual world. Some examples include:
The cost for participating in the Syntiant Virtual World is eliminated by the end-user donation of excess computing cycle time to Syntiant’s ExaFLOPS Cloud Supercomputing Grid (ECSG). This is effortlessly achieved, for example, by leaving a computer or gaming device running overnight, or during other downtime. The Syntiant Virtual World will be free to those who connect their gaming systems and PCs to the ECSG. Users who donate more than the minimum number of computing hours will earn energy credits to exchange within Syntiant’s virtual economy, thereby increasing their ability to participate in their favorite online venues and activities. These excess cycles become the backbone of the ECSG.
Building upon the excess computing cycles donated by Syntiant Virtual World
users in exchange for free access to the online environment, Syntiant will
build the world’s first massively distributed cloud computing grid
that will surpass the ExaFLOP (one quintillion (10^18) FLoating point Operations
Per Second) level in 2016.
This greatly exceeds any computing system currently in existence or projected to exist by that time. The current fastest computer is IBM’s Roadrunner, which is designed for 1.7 PetaFLOPS (one quadrillion (10^15) FLoating point Operations Per Second). Syntiant’s ECSG will be over 1,000 times faster than that by 2020.
Many industries, including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, biotech, market research and advertising, and any industry that needs complex high-speed simulation and modeling capabilities, will find great value in using the ECSG. By eliminating the traditionally expensive hardware costs associated with supercomputing, Syntiatnt’s ECSG will be able to offer processing time to business consumers at a fraction of current market price points.
The experience in Syntiants’ virtual world will be augmented by the
capabilities of the SynseVision Lifecasting system. Lifecasting is a new
and exploding video-sharing phenomenon that began with the advent of webcams
and internet broadcasting. There have been many experiments with different
data formats for capture and distribution, but no standard de-facto platform
exists that allows for the capture and distribution of a person's Lifecast.
Syntiant will empower users to become their own video distribution company
by providing capabilities to stream live, review, or redistribute video
from their individual Lifecast Vaults within Syntiants’ Virtual World.
Syntiant is developing a headset (it will look like a pair of sunglasses, with different aesthetic designs to please a wide array of users) that contains bio-data capture technology, GPS, Bluetooth capabilities, and stereo HD cameras. Data is automatically captured and transmitted to Syntiant’s virtual world for 3D reconstruction, so the person’s friends, family, business associates, project colleagues, and others can connect with and virtually experience what that person is seeing, and how he or she is physiologically responding to his or her environment. Users can also replay captured experiences later for themselves or friends and associates, thus establishing a dynamic record of life experiences or business and project interactions.
SynseVision has many practical applications for a variety of industries, and Syntiant is currently working with its research partners to develop training and communications applications for Synsevision in the aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries.

The SPA is a completely digital personal assistant with nearly limitless
capabilities for data processing and collation. Your SPA will be able to
read and understand all incoming data, sort and group information, and
present you with the most important and relevant information in your preferred
format. This customized, and therefore intuitive, virtual AI agent helps
organize and manage all the user’s electronic data, including telephone
calls, email, office productivity tools, and social network activity. Using
Hierarchal Temporal Memory (HTM), the SPA learns the user’s behavior
to more effectively serve him/her over time. A bio-feedback device increases
the SPA’s ability to customize the delivery of critical information
to the user at appropriate times.
A basic SPA is free, and users will buy upgrades to the basic functionality
and for the appearance and characteristics of their online avatars.
As the capabilities of the Syntiant Virtual World evolve, it will redefine how advertisers can engage and interact with their audience. A subsidiary of Syntiant, known as Syntiant Social Systems (S3), will develop artificially intelligent and human-intuitive 3D avatars that engage in “learning” conversations, describe appropriate products and services to prospective customers, and process sales. Users’online activities and experiences will also enable S3 to compile massive amounts of consumer data, offering unprecedented marketplace analytics and customer relationship management tools.
Syntiant will use its understanding of future technologies and internet markets to train the next generation of our workforce through its non-profit arm. Starting in underprivileged, inner-city areas, Syntiant will build a network of afterschool academies that teach teens to use a proven social-networking based business model. Students will be trained in all aspects of running a business, including managing technology, planning and executing marketing, accounting, and management practices.
